St Mary’s 22nd Gardens Sunday (with Celebrity Scarecrows)
Sunday 7 July 2013, 11am - 5pm

Margaret Thatcher appeared more than once in Rolleston on Sunday. She was one of 40 or so exhibits put together as part of the celebrity scarecrow trail through the village which took place as part of Garden Sunday. Other spectacles around the village included the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – equipped with baby gear and bump, Alan Sugar and the demon barber of Fleet Street, which was put together by the hairdressers.

15 open gardens, 5 of which were new proved popular on a very warm day (hottest day of the year so far?). It was a really successful event helping to boost funds for St Mary’s Church by a whopping £2,300.

The following page shows more of the scarecrows on show! If your scarecrow is missing, and you would like it to appear, then please send a photo to the village webmaster.
