The village possesses four bus shelters which blend well with their surroundings. Street lighting has concrete poles which have weathered - but replacements are of galvanised steel. A higher standard of design is required especially in the Conservation Area - at least to the standard in Brookside.

There are overhead telephone distribution lines to houses but few have overhead power cables. The latest estate, Meadow View, has all cables underground, an objective for the future elsewhere.

Shop fronts, educational and commercial signs are acceptable with a few exceptions.

The unsuitable designs and location of litter bins has caused comment. Public seating is well maintained as are street name plates.
