BUILDING GUIDELINES

The scale, materials, detailing and features of new buildings should respect and be in sympathy with each distinctive area of the village.

Each building that goes beside another has to be in tune with its neighbour.

Buildings that harmonize with traditional styles of brickwork and fairly steep pitched tiled roofs provide the feeling of well designed enclosure. The use of a courtyard approach for larger developments, with good landscaping, rather than monotonous pattern, uninteresting and characterless book designs, is preferred.

New buildings should not exceed the height established in existing buildings.
