Tutbury Flower Club News 2011


The club provides regular articles for the Rollestonian and has members in the village. It therefore seemed appropriate to reproduce them here (and any other news) for those interested in this local club.


Autumn 2011 News

Everyone at Tutbury Flower Club would like to give a Big Thank You to all who supported their charity event on Friday 20th May at Tutbury Village Hall. Our evening with Mr Don Witton talking about “People, Plants, Pleasure and Passion” raised £750 for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice.

Please note - a future date for your Diary is our Christmas Open Meeting.

Flower Arranging Classes are being held by Mrs Janet Stone in the Methodist Chapel School Room beginning Thursday 6th October, 7.30pm for 6 weeks. If you are interested please contact Janet on 815107


Spring 2011 News

A FUTURE date for you diary is Friday 20th May, when we will be holding a Charity Evening at Tutbury Village Hall 7:30pm.

Don Witton will be giving a talk on People, Plants Pleasure and Passion. Don is an avid “Hardy Planter” he holds an N.C.C.P.G. National Collection of hardy Euphorbia which has been featured on B.B.C. 2's Gardeners' World and B.B.C. TV's Tatton Park Show programme and he’s staged exhibits (along with other National Collection Holders) at the Tatton Park Show for 10 years and received a collection of medals including 2 Gold. Please look out for posters with further details.

The club’s chosen charity this year is “Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust”.
