Remembrance Sunday Parade Service 2004
Sunday 14 November, St Mary's Church.

On Armistice Sunday, St Mary's was filled to capacity for the annual Parade Service. Members of the uniformed organisations marched from the Scout Headquarters to the Church, where their banners were laid up at the altar for the Service, after which an Act of Remembrance was held at the Lych Gate, and poppy wreaths were laid at the garden of remembrance (The photograph above shows Rev. Ian Whitehead with Councillor John Morris, Chairman of Rolleston Parish Council, in front of the Lych Gate's newly carved panels). Refreshments were provided at Rolleston Club.

In the evening, a Memorial Service was held in the Church to remember all those who had died during the previous year. As part of the Service candles were lit and taken to be dedicated at the altar. Tea and coffee were served in the Mosley Aisle.
