Burns’ Night

On January 25th we had a very successful Burns’ Night Supper, combined with our weekly quiz. The supper consisted of haggis, turnips, carrots and mashed potatoes and gravy, along with a glass of wine or a glass of whisky all for £4:50.

The quiz was taken by one of our resident quizmasters, the prize for winning was a gallon of ale and a very good night was had by all.

Future Suppers include:-

St Patrick’s to be held on March 15th with Irish Stew + glass of wine or glass of whisky at £4:50.

St George’s to be held on April 29th with Cottage pie + two veg + Blackberry and apple crumble and custard + tot of whisky or glass of wine £5:50.

Don’t forget to bring your flag to wave! Both events will include a quiz and the chance to win a gallon of ale. Tickets will be on sale at the Club two weeks before each event. I should like to point out that the actual date for St Patrick’s Day is March 17th, and St George’s Day is April 23rd, but we hold them on the nearest Wednesday for the quiz.

The club has regular quiz nights on Wednesday starting at 9pm every week and you are all welcome.

The club has got off to an excellent start this year with many people joining for the first time.
