Jubilee Party - Going the Whole Hog
Tuesday 4 June, 7.30 pm at the Scouts HQ.

The Rolleston Golden Jubilee Village Festival came to a successful conclusion with a well-attended hog roast and bonfire at the Scout HQ. Villagers and visitors ate a whole hog and were entertained with a magic show, circus workshop, music from Mr. Brian Hardwick, and a final performance of the Rolleston Mummers' Play.

The Loyal Toast was proposed by Mrs. Ann Burston, the Chairman of the Rolleston on Dove Special Events Committee (RODSEC), and the evening ended with the singing of the National Anthem, as did celebrations of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. The RODSEC Committee would like to thank the many, many people who offered help and support for all our successful events, and made the Golden Jubilee an occasion to remember.
