Sat 25 May de Ferrers PSFA - Duck Race 2002 on Rolleston Brook (by Spread Eagle), 1 pm.
Sun 26 May Rolleston Scout Group Silver Jubilee Parade and Carnival, 2 pm at Scout HQ. (Parade leaves Hall Rd/The Lawns junction at 1.30 pm.).
Sun 26 - Wed 29 May Open Art Exhibition - Scout HQ, 12 noon - 6 pm.
(2D and 3D textiles, paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, wood, etc.).
Mon 27 May An Evening with Mary Queen of Scots - 7.30 pm at Scout HQ.

Event sponsored by Rolleston-on-Dove WI. Lesley Smith takes on her role as Mary and will be completely in character for the whole evening. There will be a buffet supper. 

Wed 29 May The Mellstock Band "Human Shows" - 7.30 pm at St Mary's Church.

A tour of Hardy's musical worlds. Event sponsored by Rolleston Civic Trust. Tickets - Adult £5.00, under 18 £3.00.

Fri 31 May Concert of English Music - St Mary's Church, 7.30 pm.

Rolleston Choral Society celebrating their Ruby Anniversary. Tickets £4.00.

GOLDEN JUBILEE EXHIBITION (Free Entry)

In St Mary's Church, Church Room, the Club and Marquees on the Croft includes:

Royal memorabilia from many reigns
Hobbies and pastimes of local collectors, craft groups and societies
Local history and family history
Craft demonstrations
Wedding dresses through the 20th Century
Flower arrangements in the Church
CCTV viewing of St Mary's bells
Music recitals in the Church
Performances by young musicians
Refreshments in Rolleston Club, Spread Eagle and Post Office garden

Firing of maroons will mark the opening each day

Childrens' Discos in the Scout HQ
2 - 3.30 pm Infants, 4 - 6 pm Juniors. Arranged by FOJORPS, sponsored by the Parish Council.

"Jazz in the Church" concert with well-known local young musician, Daniel Whieldon - St Mary's Church, 7.30 pm. Tickets, priced at only £2. Sponsored by RODSEC.

Sun 2 June Mobile Bell Tower on the Croft

10.00 am - Golden Jubilee Service in St. Mary's (Uniform Parade)
6.30 pm - Festival Evensong, which will follow very closely the Order of Service which was used for the Sunday following the Coronation of Her Majesty the Queen in 1952. Some of the prayers have been adapted to the Golden Jubilee, but most of the Service and all the hymns remain the same.

Mon 3 June Model Railway Display in Rolleston Club (10 am - 4 pm)

Rolleston Mummers' Play will be performed at intervals on the Croft

Tue 4 June 'Dawn' Peal of Bells
Rolleston Mummers' Play will be performed at intervals on the Croft and will be joined by the Uttoxeter Hearts of Oak Morris Men (1 pm and 2 pm)
