Summer 2005 News

Rolleston’s reading group have been meeting regularly through the Winter and Spring, enjoying both the excellent variety of books chosen by members and the social aspects of a get together.

Meetings take place approximately every six weeks, and we have now changed the way books are chosen, simply to take it in turn to pick a favourite read, or a novel not yet explored. All styles of writing are cropping up, so there really is something for all tastes, and if you don’t fancy expressing your own views why not just read along with us anyway and listen to the discussion with a cup of coffee and our relaxed company? There are no fees and no obligations, but plentiful chances to broaden your literary horizons.

The next books to be discussed are:- 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood on Tuesday 24 May; followed by 'The Power of One' by Bryce Courteny on Monday 11 July. Please contact a committee member for more information.

All are welcome, dates for meetings and future reads are available from:-

Di 813921, Gail 813356, Heather 812118 or Maggie 812621.
