Newsletter - Summer 2009

By the time you read this the club will have their summer exhibition on show at the Brewhouse. It finishes on 12th September. Have you seen it? Also members will have settled into their Monday evening club nights of painting and drawing using sketches and photographs from their summer outings or following a programme of weekly ideas. There are two demonstrations in the programme where professional artists come and show how it should be done!

Our next exhibition is not until next March next year, which will be in Burton Library, so we still have time to produce some 30 paintings. Two of our members had successful individual exhibitions at the Library earlier this year. There may also be something at the Brewhouse near Christmas.

For further information about the club's activities please contact on 812184.

Newsletter - Summer 2009

Now the light nights have arrived the Club meets out doors to do some 'pleine aire' sketching and painting of local scenes - buildings, trees, landscapes and whatever takes their fancy. Members are also looking forward to the exhibition at the Brewhouse from Saturday August 15th until Saturday September 12th. Of course by which time members will be back inside hopefully turning their summer's efforts into paintings. For further information about the club and its activities please contact on 812184.
